The First Year Initiative (FYI) is a program run by the Office of Student Success to assist you as you make the transition from high school to college. To help in this transition, we offer a variety of services and programs including: FREE tutoring through Smarty Cats Tutoring , Student Success workshops , one-on-one advising meetings with Student Success Advisors, events like Legend of the Bobcat, and fun programs like Champ Change. Remember the Student Success Inventory you took at orientation? We’ll help you evaluate your results and give you tips on how to be successful at MSU.
Stop by our office in 177 SUB to find out more about the First Year Initiative and how we can help you in your transition to MSU. We’re here Monday-Friday from 8am-7pm and ready to help you!
